Online Ordering Restaurant System

Contributed across the stack on a restaurant management platform built with Vue, Inertia, Laravel, Redis, MySQL, and Tailwind. The system enables restaurants to manage complex menus, handle orders in real time, and generate reporting for leadership. I collaborated on a team of four developers, working on both frontend experiences and backend integrations to ensure reliability and scalability.

Key Contributions and Impact:

• Menu Management: Built a dynamic item system where roles can create items composed of ingredients, enabling reusability and consistency across menus. Extended support for scheduled items, nested combos, and location-specific pricing, ensuring restaurants could adapt menus flexibly.

• Order Processing: Implemented location-specific ordering tied directly to restaurant availability. Integrated with Reverb to push orders into real-time queues, streamlining kitchen workflows.

• Communication Workflows: Automated multi-party email notifications via Maizzle templates, ensuring customers, stores, and leadership all received timely updates for order and status changes.

• Reporting & Insights: Delivered reporting functionality for both store-level staff and leadership to track sales, performance, and operational trends.

• Operational Reliability: Contributed to caching and queue handling with Redis, reducing load and improving performance for high-volume ordering scenarios.
